Bhubaneswar : A cold wave has gripped many parts of Orissa throwing normal life out of gear, officials said Monday.
The spell triggered by rain and thundershowers in most part of the state over the past two days has brought temperatures down sharply, the meteorological office here told IANS.
The streets were deserted and most people stayed indoors Monday morning.
People were seen burning bonfires in many places to keep warm.
