Islamabad : Pakistan said on Monday that foreign intelligence agencies are involved in lawlessness in the country.
Secretary Interior Syed Kamal Shah told the Senate Standing Committee on Interior that the government has solid evidence that foreign intelligences are involved in deteriorating situation in Pakistan.
Shah did not name any country and said that threat of terrorism and suicide attacks on politicians still exists.
He said it is very difficult to stop suicide bombers.
He said several terrorists have been arrested and on the information provided by them, the government has evolved a comprehensive strategy to curb the acts of terrorism.
The meeting was informed that investigation into the assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto is underway and that full cooperation was extended to Scotland Yard Police in the probe.
The team will again visit to Pakistan, the Secretary Interior said. He said there was two-second pause between firing at Benazir Bhutto and the suicide bomb explosion. He said there is a possibility that two separate men were involved in firing and blast.
