The summit would discuss trends and possibilities in the rapidly growing Middle East aviation industry and about 250 delegates, including government ministers and CEOs from major airlines, airports, investors and property developers with an interest in the region are expected to attend the event.

“Airlines and airports in the Middle East region are slated to grow at levels which were previously unimaginable. It is a region that can no longer be ignored,” said Peter Harbison, executive chairman of Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation.

“This summit will, therefore, be a vital networking and discussion forum for the industry to come together to understand the implications of many major new developments, which collectively could rewrite the world aviation system,” he added.

The summit is being sponsored by Abu Dhabi Airports Company and Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority. Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, would be the official carrier.
