New Delhi : At least 11 Pakistan-based insurgents and an Indian army officer have been killed near the Line of Control (LoC) dividing Indian-administered and Pakistan-administered Jammu and Kashmir in an ongoing encounter that began last Monday.
A group of insurgents from across the border had infiltrated into in the Tangdhar sector of Kupwara district in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir last Monday night, a Defence Ministry spokesperson told reporters Wednesday.
The encounter was still continuing, the spokesperson added.
