Chandigarh : Congress lawmaker Randeep Singh Wednesday claimed that his mother had sold off his as well as his brother’s share of their ancestral property even as he refuted the allegation that he hit her.

“My father did not make any will or testament of the ancestral property. But after his death July 15, 1988, the entire property was equally divided among all the family members,” Randeep Singh told media persons here.

Randeep’s mother Satinder Kaur and sister Jasbir Kaur Monday alleged that Randeep ill-treated them and threatened them when they demanded their share in the ancestral property.

“At different times I and my brother’s property shares were sold by our mother and the sale earnings have not been given to us till date. But out of respect and love, we kept quite till now,” he claimed.

While refuting the allegations of abusing and hitting his mother, Randeep said: “My mother is a diabetic patent and I have all due respect and regard for her.”

Randeep is son of late former Punjab minister Gurdarshan Singh. He said he is ready to sort out the property dispute through dialogue with his mother.
