Dubai : International Cricket Council (ICC) Thursday named former West Indies captain Clive Lloyd as the new chairman of the high-profile ICC Cricket Committee.
Llyod replaces former India captain Sunil Gavaskar, who stood down in May after eight years in the role following his conflict of interest as a columnist and commentator.
The ICC board selected Lloyd ahead of other nominees, who included former Pakistan captain Majid Khan.
