ICC Thursday declared the England win over Pakistan as draw with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) pitching in for a change of result.

Pakistan captain Imzamam-ul Haq had refused to play the match after his team was charged with ball-tampering allegations. The match was deemed forfeited by Pakistan and England were declared winners.

Holding argued that Pakistan’s refusal to play should not go unpunished.

“I have just written my letter of resignation to the ICC Cricket Committee because I cannot agree with what they have done,” Holding told Sky Sports.

“That game should never, ever be a draw. When you take certain actions, you must be quite happy to suffer the consequences.”

“A lot of things are happening today that I do not want to be involved with, so I have moved on, ” Holding said.
