Islamabad : Pakistan Saturday condemned and expressed deep regret over the use of force against demonstrators in the Indian-controlled Kashmir and said it is violation of human rights.
Commenting on the incident, Foreign Office spokesman Muhammad Sadiq expressed deep regret over the use of force against demonstrators at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar resulting in injuries to dozens of people including prominent Kashmiri leader Shabbir Shah.
The spokesman also expressed concern over recent instances of human rights violations in Indian Kashmir.
He stressed the need to create an enabling environment for the success of peace process between Pakistan and India and the resolution of Kashmir dispute.
