Pakistan frees Indian national

Islamabad : Pakistan Monday handed over an Indian national, who spent 10 years in jail for alleged spying, to Indian authorities at the Wagah border.

The Indian named Ram Prakash was arrested from the border city of Sialkot in Punjab province in 1998.

Prakash was handed over to the Indian authorities at the Wagah checkpost on the border, News Network International (NNI) news agency reported.

The Indian national was earlier freed from Kot Lakhpat jail of Lahore on July 1, but was brought back to police lock up as the Indian authorities did not issue him travel documents, according to the agency.
