Iran at 2nd London Islamic Expo

London : Iran will take part in the Second Islamic Expo, which is to open on Friday in London and will continue for four days.

Iran’s Cultural Office in London announced Monday that it will actively take part in different sections of the event.

Iranian pavilion at the exhibition will feature works by Mohammad Baqer Amirkhani, Ali Reza Pahlavan zadeh, Ali Reza Asadi in the fields of illumination, miniature, enamelling and engraving.

These artists will attend the event to present new works before the visitors so as to make them further acquainted with Iranian arts.

Meanwhile, Ali Mohammad Helmi, Iran’s cultural attache, will deliver a lecture on the role of Iran in flowering Islamic civilization in a conference Saturday to be held concurrent with the expo.

The Iranian pavilion will also showcase latest books and cultural products.

First Islamic Expo was held two years ago simultaneously with the first anniversary of terroristic explosions in London.

The main objective of International Islamic Expo is to promote convergence among Muslim communities and present a true image of Islam to the West.
