IUML to hold meeting over India-US nuclear deal

Malappuram : The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) has called a meeting of its leaders here Thursday to discuss the India-US nuclear deal, state general secretary P.K. Kunhalikutty said Tuesday.

He said the Left decision to withdraw support to the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government would only help the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Kunhalikutty said his party would make its stand clear on the nuclear deal after the meeting.

He said his party has already conveyed its concerns to External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee.

The IUML is a constituent of the UPA. Its Lok Sabha MP E. Ahmed is the minister of state for external affairs.
