Compensation for victims of Indore violence

Indore : In a move towards the relief of the victims of the recent Indore violence, the Madhya Pradesh government has provided a cheque of one lakh rupees to the family of Imran.The families of the other seven people who were killed in the riot too were provided with the cheque of the same amount.

Riots broke out in Juna Resala and Khujrana, the Muslim dominated areas of Indore, when the supporters of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad tried to enforce the all India “bandh” called for as a protest against the withdrawal of the forest land to the Amarnath Shrine Board in Kashmir.

The National Commission for the Minorities had also announced that the families of those who were killed in the riots will be given three lakhs and fifty thousand by the Central Government in compensation.

The former Chief Minister of the state Digvijay Singh had announced that they will be given one lakh from the Congress party as compensation.
