In a statement issued from Belgrade, he said his country strongly rejected Ban’s overlooking of Serbia in the measures that were being taken by the UN pertaining to Kosovo’s future, noting that this type of provocation could place greater strain on the Serbian stance toward the Kosovo issue.

Serbia will work to thwart the attempts of the UN chief to change the administrative situation in Kosovo, he said, noting that his country had the support of both Russia and China in the UN Security Council.

He added that his country would be resorting to the International Court of Justice over the legality of Kosovo’s declaration of independence from Serbia.
