Aligargh: A University Grants Commission (UGC) team will visit Aligarh Muslim University from July 28-31, 2008 to overview the development plans prepared by AMU under 11th Five Year Plan.
In view of the impending UGC visit, AMU Vice Chancellor Prof. P K Abdul Azis yesterday had a daylong meeting with heads of departments to know about their plans.
Several departments under Arts and Science Faculties made a PowerPoint presentation of their plans. They included Departments of English, Hindi, Arabic, Modern Indian Language, Fine Arts, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science.
Besides, Faculties of Unani Medicine, Agricultural Science, Theology, Management, Women’s College and Biotechnology also made PowerPoint presentation of their plans.
These preparations are to ensure more and more funds for the university.
