Kabul : A soldier of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) was killed during fighting in southeastern Afghanistan, the military said on Monday.
Without giving further details, ISAF’s press office said the clash occurred in Afghanistan’s southeastern province of Khost.
Expressing grief over the death of the soldier and offering condolences to his family and friends, ISAF spokesperson Captain Mike Finney said “This soldier’s life was taken while helping bring peace and security to Afghanistan.
” Name and nationality of the soldier were not released by the military for policy reasons.
