Kolkata : A West Bengal court Wednesday remanded two suspected Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) linkmen to 14 days police custody.
Acting on a tip-off, a special team of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Tuesday arrested Mohammad Mustaq Ahmed and Hasanuzzaman alias Nazrul from Murshidabad district.
“Both Mustaq and Hasanuzzaman were produced in the Jangipur court in Murshidabad Wednesday where they were remanded in police custody for two weeks,” West Bengal Deputy Inspector General of CID (Operations) Siddhinath Gupta told IANS.
He said a police team will bring both the LeT operatives to CID headquarters here Wednesday night for further interrogation.
The sleuths also seized a few gelatine sticks (a form of explosive), a laptop containing several “incriminating documents and video footage”, a pen drive and some CDs of terrorist training manuals from them.
