New Delhi : A minor earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale hit the Andaman Islands Sunday afternoon, weather officials said here.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the quake at 1.09 p.m. had its epicentre at latitude 10.7 degree north and longitude 91.4 degree east.
