Lucknow : A Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) corporator and his brother were critically injured when unidentified miscreants fired at them here Monday, police said.
Lucknow Superintendent of Police (East) Paresh Pandey told IANS: “Musavvar Ali alias Manshu, a member of the local civic body, and his brother were attacked in the Khadra locality. The assailants managed to escape after the incident.
“The incident appears to be a fallout of an old rivalry. We have initiated a probe in this regard,” Pandey said.
Ali and his brother are undergoing treatment at a hospital here, Pandey added.
