Algeria : A man was killed and 12 others were injured after an earthquake hit the Algerian town of Wahran, marking 5.5 on the Richter scale Friday night, said the local environmental civil protection unit.
A source from the Algerian Environment Civil Protection Service in a statement on Saturday, said that a man aged 38, died after being caved in a pile of rocks.
The statement added that the man was on a hunting trip with a group of his friends, refusing to uncover the current whereabouts of the man’s body or his identity.
Amongst the 12 injured, was a young girl who remains under intensive medical care, affected with broken bones in several areas of her body, after her house tumbled around her.
