Mumbai : At least 12 people were killed and 30 injured when a state transport bus collided with a Tata Sumo vehicle Monday at Shahuwadi, near Kolhapur in Maharashtra
According to police, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation bus, with 55 commuters aboard, was going from Malkapur to Kolhapur when the driver lost control at a curve and hit the Tata Sumo vehicle approaching from the opposite direction.
The accident occurred at around 1.00 p.m. Monday, Assistant Sub-Inspector Babasaheb Karadage of Shahuwadi police station told IANS over phone
Both the vehicles overturned after collision. The injured have been admitted to hospitals in Kolhapur and Malkapur, he said.
