Mumbai : Tata Communications net profit dipped to $2.5 million (Rs.100 million) during the fiscal 2008 compared to $3.75 million (Rs.150 million) for the previous year.
The consolidated revenue clocked $2.05 billion (Rs.82.63 billion) for the year ended March 31, 2008.
“The year 2007-2008 was significant as the company was re-branded as Tata Communications. Our global infrastructure and service in emerging markets like India, Asia, Middle East and Africa will help us to drive a new world of communication,” said Tata Communications managing director and CEO N. Srinath in statement issued late Tuesday evening.
The company has declared a dividend of 45 percent.
