National football camp shifted to Delhi from Goa

By IANS,

New Delhi : The Indian national football team’s camp ahead of its Portugal tour has been shifted to Delhi from Goa. The camp will start June 25 at the Ambedkar stadium here.

The players, who will after a disappointing performance in the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Cup where they finished runners-up, will be joined by coach Bob Houghton, who is currently holidaying in the Maldives.

The list of players for the camp hasn’t been finalised yet but it is unlikely that the national coach will introduce any new face in the camp other than those, who were already in the Goa camp before the team left for SAFF Cup.

The Indian team will leave for Portugal in the first week of July. The under-16 team will also go to US for an exposure trip during the same time and the under-19 team will play in Malaysia in August.
