Sania lost to the local favourite 2-6, 2-6 in almost an hour.

This was the second early exit for the Indian since coming back to the circuit after a three-month long injury lay-off following a wrist surgery. She had lost in the first round in WTA DFS Classic last week.

Sania was lacklustre and faced problems in holding her serves. She dropped service in the 3rd and 5th game as Krajicek raced to a 5-1 lead before serving out the first set in 30 minutes.

Sania again lost her service in the first game of the second set and Krajicek quickly went up 2-0. Krajicek snatched another break and won the match 6-2.

Rohan Bopanna’s campaign also came to a dismal end when the Indian lost out in straight sets to Argentinean Guillermo Canas in the second round.

Canas broke Bopanna thrice before however downing him 6-2, 6-4 in an hour.

Bopanna partnering American Robert Lindstedt is already out of the doubles losing out to Canas and Juan Martin Del Porto in the first round.
