The BOA said in a statement Thursday that new appointments are to be made in its management in the coming months.

“Over the next six months, changes to strengthen the BOA are likely to be the most far-reaching in our history,” said BOA boss Colin Moynihan.

Clegg’s position is yet to be fully defined, but he is to ensure that his own aim of Britain coming fourth in the medal table at the home Games becomes reality.

“I am very happy to be concentrating on developing the 2012 team. “I was the one of the driving forces behind the target of fourth place. It’s challenging but also achievable,” said Clegg.
