Mumbai : The Indian equities market closed deep in the red Monday.
The 30-share benchmark of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) sensitive index (Sensex) opened at 14,423.05 points and touched a low 14,163.45 before closing at 14,293.32 points. It went down by 277.97 points or 1.91 percent at the days close.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) S&P Nifty, which opened at 4,351.15 points, closed at 4,266.40 points. It went down by 81.15 points or 1.87 percent.
