New Delhi : Amid confusion over the fate of the India-US nuclear deal, the monsoon session of parliament is likely to begin in the last week of July or the first week of August, sources said Monday.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi Monday met Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to discuss the upcoming monsoon session, No decision has been taken on the date of the session. It will be decided after External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee returns from Australia.
The monsoon session is expected to be stormy with the Left and some of the United Progressive Alliance partners opposing the nuclear deal.
