Lecture on first Caliph Abu Bakr today in Jeddah

Jeddah : A lecture on the life of the first Caliph of Islam, Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), will be held near the Istiqdam office in the Azizia district of Jeddah today at 9.30 p.m. The lecture, which is to be delivered by Abdul Sattar Khan, a journalist and researcher, is part of a monthly lecture series focusing on the 10 Companions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) who were given glad tidings of paradise. The lecture series, which began in April, is held on the last Wednesday of each month.

“The struggle and sacrifices that the 10 Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) made for the cause of Islam is a source of inspiration for all people to come. These lectures are very informative and those attending will gain a lot of knowledge,” said Abdul Mateen Osmani, one of the event’s organizers. The lecture is open to people of all ages and special seating arrangements have been made for ladies.
