Fatah armed wing said in a statement that Hamas police forces arrested Abu Qusai, the spokesman of the group in Gaza, after the militant group broke an Egyptian-brokered truce between Hamas and Israel.

Last week, the group claimed responsibility for launching two homemade rockets from Gaza at Israel, saying in a leaflet that the reason they fired the rockets is to call for including West Bank in the truce.

Israel and Hamas as well as other small armed groups agreed on a six-month truce with Israel through an Egyptian mediation. The truce is only for the Gaza Strip and excludes the West Bank.

Senior Hamas leader Mahmoud al-Zahar had earlier warned small group’s that their militants would be detained and their weapons will be confiscated if they violate the truce with Israel.

Following the Brigades rockets attack on Israel last week, Israel re-closed the Gaza Strip border crossings for four days. Israel agreed on Sunday to reopen the crossings after getting a guarantee that no more rockets will be fired at Israel.
