Sofia : The group of states of the Regional Cooperation in Southeastern Europe affirmed at conclusion of a three-day conference on Saturday necessity of commitment toward regional cooperation.
The states, in the final statement of the conference, indicated at keenness on continuing processes of political and economic reforms in the regional countries.
Bulgrian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivailo Kalfenj, the chairman of the current session of the group, said at a news conference after end of the conference that the regional cooperation should involve all countries in southeastern Europe.
The conferees, during the three-day meeting, discussed and assessed regional conditions and affirmed commitment to boosting democracy throughout the European continent.
There was a concensus among the leading participants in the conference on the necessity of mapping out a “successful coordination strategy for the region .. and the Sofia meeting opened a new chapter for the regional cooperation,” Kalfenj said.
The grouping comprises Albania, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia and Kosovo.
