Gaza : Two Palestinian militants were shot dead on Sunday by Israeli snipers east of Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza Strip, medics and witnesses said.
Mo’aweya Hassanein, chief of emergency and ambulance services told reporters that bodies of two Palestinians who were shot dead by Israeli soldiers, were brought to the hospital.
The Israeli army has been carrying out since Saturday a large-scale military ground operation into the area, where tanks and bulldozers backed by aircraft have been acting in the area.
Hassanein said that since Saturday, 64 Palestinians have been killed and more than 100 people wounded, adding that this raises the death toll since Wednesday to 98 and 300 wounded.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Jihad (Holy War) armed wing, Saraya al-Quds, said in a leaflet that it detonated a 10-kg roadside bomb atan Israeli army vehicle east of Rafah in southern Gaza Strip.
