Gaza : Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert heads a special meeting to discuss the second stage of Israeli operations in Gaza Strip, Israeli radio reported Wednesday.
The radio said, “Olmert requested that all security sectors present plans for Gaza Strip operations.”
Olmert met US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice Tuesday night, and the two reviewed results of talks she held with top Egyptian officials and the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah earlier in the day.
Israeli radio said, “Olmert and Rice discussed ways to boost Israeli-Palestinian negotiations.”
The US Secretary of State is to meet Israeli Minister of Defence Ehud Barak and Foreign Minister Tizipi Livni, separately, later Wednesday.
