Junagadh (Gujarat) : Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi Thursday visited a Shivratri fair in this temple town. It was his first visit to the fair.
Modi inaugurated a newly-built auditorium and a community kitchen at the premises of the Bharati Ashram at the foothills of Mount Girnar.
Addressing the gathering, he said the 21st century was a century of spiritual renaissance.
He also said that Junagadh town, about 350 km from Ahmedabad, and Kutch region had good potential for tourism development.
Mount Girnar was a holy place that inspired various religious leaders as well, he added.
The five-day fair was set to culminate midnight with the Mahapuja and Maha Aarti.
