Jakarta : Indonesia’s president will visit Iran next week to strengthen ties in the energy field and
also for talks covering Tehran’s controversial nuclear programmes, Reuters quoted a Jakarta official as saying on Thursday.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is due to fly to Iran on Monday and hold talks with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the Islamic republic’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei, said presidential spokesman Dino Patti Djalal.
The two sides will also discuss greater cooperation in the energy sector.
