Lashkar criticizes Asma Jahangir’s statement

‘Condemn army action in Bonjwa Kishtwar’

Srinagar : Lashkar-e-Toiba has criticized the statement of Pakistan Human Right Chairperson Asma Jahangir about the Human Rights violation in Kashmir and also condemn the army action on people of Bonjwa village by making them human shield.

A caller identifying himself as LeT Spokesperson, Dr Abdullah Gaznavi told News Agency of Kashmir in a tele-statement that the houses expect Pakistan Human Rights chairperson Asma Jahangir to meet thousand of women and children who are the victims of Human Right Violation in Jammu and Kashmir.

“We strongly criticised the statement of Asma Jahangir wherein she said that the purpose of her visit was to watch the religious freedom of Kashmiries and not HR violation” the spokesman told NAK adding “we want to remind her the religion and commitment under which Jahangir fought the case of Mukthara Bibi in Pakistan also demand that the cases of thousands of widows and victims of HR Violation in jammu and kashmir should also be highlighted and investigated”.

“to watch the religious freedom was the responsibility of religious leaders and preachers and the HR activists must plead the cause of those who are the victims of HR violations” LeT spokesperson said and suggests her to take the plight of thousands of Kashmiries Muslim women with international community.

The Let Spokesman hoped and appealed to Asma Jahangir the Pakistan HR chief to visit to the villages in Kishtwar district where security forces laid a siege from the last three days and were torturing civilians on the pretext of search operation.

While paying tributes to its militants Abu Abdullah and Abu Usma who were killed in Chiti Bani Bandipora by security forces in a joint operation by security forces said the way the slain militants of his out-fit fight with the security forces was worth praise and have set an example in the history of Kashmir struggle.

He claimed that four soldiers have also been killed in the gun-fight while one of the militants of his cadre escapes unhurt. He said that his out-fit will continue its struggle till the Kashmir was not freed from ‘illegal occupation’ of the India.

Gaznavi condemn the army action in Bonjwa area of Kishtwar district .he said the army has kept the village under seize and the villagers are being victimized by the army.

He claimed that dozens of villagers behave been injured and said that the troops were using the people as human shields and allege that the troops force the villagers to stay back in homes.

Dr Gaznavi appealed international Human Rights community to interfere and extend its support to the people of Kashmir in getting ‘freedom from India’.

Meanwhile, defence spokesman Lt Col SD Goswami refuted the allegation about the injuries inflicted to the villagers and said “on specific information troops launched a search operation in the area but ensured that no civilian is harassed” Goswami told NAK adding Army has been always on front when ever any natural climaty struck the villages particularly in hilly areas.

“The operation aims to target the militants who are hiding on the higher reaches of the mountains”, he added.

He said that keeping in view the situation, army today launched operation sadbhawna and distributed about 100 blankets and 100 warm sweaters among the villagers.

“The safety of the civilians is always ensured while cracking down on militants and the troops only focus on the zeroing of target point” he told NAK and said there the reports about lathicharge were false and baseless.
