“Following the successful launch of the third satellite in January, the company plans to add 30,000 to 60,000 customers next year”, Yousif Al Sayyed said.

He said that the new satellite would broaden Thuraya’s potential customer base.

Al Sayyed added that the agreement the company signed with China and Australia on distribution of the company’s services in the two countries would have positive effect on the financial performance of the company.

Thuraya Satellite Communications Company, which was founded in 1997, is a leading provider of mobile satellite communications and provides services in 170 countries.
