Through Micro Lost Mobile Tracking System (LMTS), Micro Technologies will provide security to Airtel subscribers’ mobile handsets.

The application would have a software in the GSM-enabled mobile handsets that would inform the user through an email about the new mobile number that replaced the original number in case of a theft, Micro Technologies said.

The application would also inform the user about the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number with the current location of the handset.

The IMEI number is used to identify valid devices and therefore can be used to stop a stolen phone from accessing a network.

The Airtel customers can subscribe the LMTS service by logging on to the Airtel website or by contacting the service provider.

Micro Technologies provides high-end security in the areas of mobile security, automobile security and monitoring systems, among others.
