Vetter, former soldier also affected by the effects of the dioxin known as Agent Orange, said he is willing to work in support of the millions of Vietnamese children, women, and men with severe after-effects caused by the dioxin several generations after the war.

US planes dropped the Agent Orange dioxin during the aggression of Vietnamese territory, annihilating civilians and contaminating soils that cannot be used in at least a century.

Vetter also criticized the recent ruling by a New York court of appeals that rejected a demand by the Agent Orange victims against the dioxin producing companies.
