Mayawati expresses solidarity with people of Tibet

Lucknow : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati Monday expressed solidarity with the people of Tibet.

Addressing a press conference here, she urged the central government to appeal to the Chinese government to appreciate and solve the problem of the people of Tibet.

“The problem needs to be addressed and could be solved through dialogue instead of violence,” she said.

Mayawati also said that the government should press for the release of Sarabjit Singh from Pakistani jail.

“The government of India must intervene and talk to the Pakistan government to grant amnesty to Sarbjeet Singh,” she said.
