They first staged a walk out when their demand for an adjournment motion to discuss violence in Gadarwara town of Narsinghpur district was rejected.

Later, they again walked out of the house over their demand for a CBI inquiry into the death of Ujjain professor Sabharwal.

Leader of the Opposition Jamuna Devi raised the issue of Gadarwara incident and demanded a discussion on it through an adjournment motion. She told the house that the police in Gadarwara targeted a group of people and fired at them when they went to the police to complain about the robbery and subsequent killing of five people in the town Sunday.

While the opposition members demanded a discussion over the matter and tabled an adjournment motion, Speaker Ishwardas Rohani said since adjournments could not be taken up during the budget session, the matter would be discussed through call attention motion Wednesday.

Satyadev Katare of the Congress and others said that when the adjournments have been taken up during the budget session in the past by relaxing norms, why could that not be done now.

When their demand was turned down, the opposition members, including those of the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the CPI-M, staged a walk-out from the house.

Later, Jamuna Devi raised the issue of demand for a CBI inquiry into Sabharwal murder case. She informed the assembly about Sabharwal’s son Himanshu sitting on an indefinite fast in the state capital, and walked out of the house.
