Islamabad : The US President, George W. Bush, Tuesday congratulated in a phone conversation Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on assuming the office of Prime Minister of Pakistan.
The conversation took place as two top US envoys John Negroponte and US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, Richard Boucher, are here on a two-day unannounced visit to hold talks with the new government on the war on terror policy.
