Abu Dhabi : Comoros, the Indian Ocean island country off the eastern coast of Africa, will receive $900,000 from the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) in loan to redress a deficit in its balance of payments.
A loan agreement was signed here Wednesday by Mohammed Ali Saleh, minister of finance, budget and planning in Comoros and Jassim Al Mannai, director general and chairman of the AMF Board, WAM news agency reported.
Comoros had earlier received two loans form the Abu Dhabi based AMF worth $1.7 million.
