The visit was agreed at a meeting between External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Miliband Wednesday, the Indian High Commission said.

Mukherjee, who stopped over in London on his way back from the US, discussed bilateral and regional issues with his British counterpart.

Miliband’s visit to India will take place some time in the second half of this year – following up on increasingly frequent and close political exchanges between India and Britain, led by visits by the two prime ministers. Mukherjee left Britain Thursday.
