Gaza : Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayad stressed, at his meeting with Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak Wednesday, that Israeli actions are harming the Palestinian authority’s efforts to build its security abilities.
Fayad said that the Palestinian authority opposes the Israeli settlement policy, demanding Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt be opened.
Maariv Israeli newspaper said that Barak finished preparing a plan to ease closure on the Palestinians, in response to US pressure.
The Palestinians will also be allowed to get 300 new vehicles, night vision devises, weapons, and rubber bullets.
