The $300,000 Asian Tour tournament has received backing from the country’s top corporations which include the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), Philippine Airlines and computer and IT specialist Stradcom.

Other key partners for this year’s Philippine Open, which is the eighth leg of this season’s Asian Tour, are Crowne Plaza Galleria (Official Hotel), Johnnie Walker, 100 Plus (Official Sports Drink), Srixon (Official Ball) and Pin High (Official Apparel).

The Philippine Open, which was inaugurated in 1913, has also drawn the support of the National Golf Association of the Philippines (NGAP) and the Philippine Department of Tourism.

“On behalf of our talented players, the Asian Tour would like to extend our fullest appreciation to all the sponsors who are backing this year’s Philippine Open,” said Gerry Norquist, Senior Vice President of the Asian Tour.

The Philippine Open is part of the burgeoning Asian Tour which is offering a strong Schedule of 27 tournaments and nearly $40 million in prize money, an all-time high in Asian golf history.
