Deccan adds 18 new flights in summer schedule

Mumbai : Low-cost carrier Deccan has added 18 new flights as part of its 2008 summer schedule, the company said Monday.

The airline has also added a new destination – Jorhat in Assam to its wide network.

The new flights commenced operations Saturday. They include Bangalore-Indore, Indore-Nagpur, Kolkata-Jorhat via Guhawati, Mumbai-Lucknow and Cochin-Mangalore.

Said Ramki Sundaram, officiating CEO of Deccan: “In our new summer schedule, we have introduced a slew of flights to new city pairs in addition to increasing operations on key routes.

He said that travellers could look forward to timings that make for convenient business and leisure trips.

The Kingfisher-Deccan group has 80 flights connecting 71 destinations.
