Brussels : EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana has voiced his concern following the raid by the Israeli soldiers on two orphanages in Hebron on Wednesday morning.
Cristina Gallach, Solanas spokesperson, said here that the EU foreign policy chief was “very concerned” about the incident in Hebron when the Israeli soldiers raided and looted two orphanages run by the Islamic Charitable Society and threatened to close them.
Solana urged the Israeli authorities not to close the orphanages and thereby leave 240 children homeless.
