Sana’a : The Custom Training Institute in Yemen’s capital Sana’a was attacked early on Wednesday with two mortars but no causalities have been reported.
The institute is adjacent to Italy’s embassy in Yemen. The authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
Earlier this month, the US embassy in Yemen was attacked with mortars, the attack for which an al-Qaeda cell claimed responsibility. In addition, a housing complex used by Americans and
Westerners were attacked in Sana’a.
In response, the US recalled its non-essential staff in Yemen and started to take strict measures amid security concerns.
Some foreign companies working in Yemen have begun evacuating some families of their staffs, saying the measure comes due to increasing terrorist attacks in the country.
