Noida : Three workers were killed at a construction site here Friday when a lift carrying them came tumbling down from the fifth floor after its cord suddenly snapped.
Jaideep, 18, Mazloom, 40, and Sunil, 25, died instantly in the ghastly accident at Sector 62 of the IT Park at Noida, adjoining the Indian capital, Superintendent of Police Sadhna Goswami said.
Police said a criminal case had been slapped against three people, including the chairman of the construction company, an engineer and the trolley operator.
