Ramallah : Members of the Palestinian security force Saturday were deployed in the Jenin city in accordance with a government plan to maintain security there.
Major-General Deyab Al-Ali said in a statement about 600 security members were sent to Jenin to join security forces there, affirming that their mission was to maintain security in the city which was witnessing instability.
The mission would continue despite outside interferences to undermine the plan, stated Al-Ali, adding that the security force received special training at a camp in Jordan.
The security plan is among Palestinian government’s steps to reinforce security in the Palestinian territories in accordance with the international road-map for peace.
The government of Prime Minister Salam Fayyad accused Israel of trying to jeopardize the security plans through continous military operations especially in Nablus city.
