Bhopal : Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had a miraculous escape early Sunday when his helicopter made an emergency landing after a snag, police officials said.
He was travelling from Indore to Bhopal, but after the emergency landing at Indore airport he had to stay back in that city.
“Chouhan had a halt at Indore on way back from Ujjain to Bhopal. He started for Bhopal at about 1 a.m. but as soon as his helicopter took off from Indore airport, the pilot smelt something burning. He immediately returned to Indore airport where he made an emergency landing,” Indore Superintendent of Police Anshyman Yadav confirmed.
“The chief minister left for Bhopal in the morning,” he said.
